We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Sohee Kim as the new owner of The Colony Dentist. Dr. Kim brings not only a wealth of experience, passion, and knowledge for patient-centered care to the practice, but also an expanse of specialties to enhance and ensure the highest quality dental treatment in the area.
About Dr. Kim
Dr. Kim earned her degree for her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2017 from the Medical University of South Carolina. After graduation, she further went on to develop her professional skills, proceeding with Dr. Dawson’s occlusal residency program from 2018 – 2022. To date, Dr. Kim has 800+ hours of continuing education (CE) hours.
Dr. Kim is committed to providing you the best possible level of care and service possible. As a dedicated dentist and scholar, Dr. Sohee Kim has spent countless hours over her dental career perfecting the art of preventative, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry – earning a variety of accolades and awards over her dental career. After earning her certification in Dental Implant Surgery with the California Implant Institution in 2018, Dr. Kim has strived to continue her education to provide the best level of patient care possible; earning recognition from a pool of highly prestigious groups, such as becoming a Fellow of the Misch Implant Institute (2022), Oasis Implant Institute Faculty (2023), Fellow of International Congress of Oral Implantologists (2018), and more. She maintains an outstanding standing amongst the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association, where she has been a member since 2018.
Outside of providing the highest level of professional dental care services, Dr. Kim enjoys a variety of active hobbies such as painting, hiking, and gardening with her cat, Mandoo. However, the field of dentistry truly encapsulates her heart, as she continues to spend the greatest number of hours dedicated to learning and instilling new lab techniques to further her dental skills.
